Prepress refers to the work done in the pre-printing stage, typically involving tasks such as photography, design, production, typesetting, and outputting film proofs for proofing purposes.
Print-Mid refers to the mid-stage of printing work—the process of producing the final product using a printing press.
Post-printing refers to the work carried out after the printing process is complete, typically involving finishing processes such as lamination (film coating), UV coating, varnishing, die-cutting, gold stamping, embossing, mounting, binding, and trimming—commonly used for promotional and packaging materials.
Printing is a reproduction technology that replicates the visual and textual information from an original document. Its key feature is its ability to efficiently and economically reproduce the original content—in large quantities—onto a wide variety of printing materials. Moreover, the resulting printed products can be widely distributed and preserved indefinitely—something that no other reproduction technologies like film, television, or photography can match.
